Shelley has been practicing law since graduating from Seattle University School of Law in 1998, cum laude. Prior to law school, she attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Social Work and Criminal Justice.

Shelley has lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last fifteen years and loves it here. Although she calls Oregon home, she remains and avid and loyal Green Bay Packer fan. She enjoys spending time with her husband doing anything outdoorsy including hiking, fishing, and crabbing at the coast. Shelley has been fortunate enough to do some traveling over the past few years and has been to Mexico several times, Belize and took a day trip into Guatamala to see the Mayan ruins at Tikal. 

Shelley's law practice concentrates on criminal, juvenile, family law, adoptions and personal injury cases.

She is a member of  the Family and Juvenile law sections of the Oregon State Bar Association, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Washington County Bar Association where she is a Member and Board Member.

John L. Guinn was born and raised in upstate New York where he attended Colgate University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984. After competing as soccer player in the Dutch third division in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Mr. Guinn earned his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan graduating in 1989.

In 1990, he began working for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago, Illinois handling matters from traffic offenses and misdemeanors to sex crimes and homicides throughout the Cook County court system.

Mr. Guinn was a founding member of the firm of Lamantagne & Guinn, P.C. of Denver, Colorado in 2001 where he handled complex bank fraud litigations in federal court on behalf of bank regulators while working closely with prosecutors from the United States Attorney's Office.

In addition, he managed all aspects of private litigations and developed a small, but successful criminal defense practice in Denver and its surrounding counties. Mr. Guinn has litigated civil and criminal matters in Illinois, Alabama, Colorado and Oregon. He relocated to Oregon in 2004 with his wife and children.

John, in his private life, enjoys mountaineering, rock climbing and cycling, as well as watching and coaching his children's youth soccer teams.

John concentrates his practice in criminal defense and juvenile law.  He is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association, Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Washington County Bar Association.

Stephen has been working in the legal profession for nearly 20 years. Prior to graduating from New York Law School in 1995, he worked as a legal assistant and law clerk in large law firms and corporations in New York City, specializing in employment law and civil litigation. Since moving to Oregon in 1997, he has practiced law mainly in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, civil rights, disability law, employment law, and appeals.

Stephen grew up in Iowa, and graduated from the University of Iowa, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Literature. He studied logic and philosophy and received a Master's Degree from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.

Stephen moved to Oregon for the outdoor recreation, and enjoys backpacking and camping with his two young children.

Stephen accepted the Oregon Trial Lawyer's Public Justice Award in 2003, which he received on behalf of the Oregon Advocacy Center for work he did in connection with a lawsuit entitled Henderson v. Kitzhaber, et al. , which succeeded in protecting 24 individuals with severe mental and physical disabilities who were being evicted from their residential care facilities due to state budget cuts.

He is admitted to practice law in Oregon, the United States District Court, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Multnomah Bar Association, and the Washington County Bar Association.

Nicholas Heydenrych was born in Johannesburg, South Africa where his parents lived and worked at the time. He has had the opportunity to live in South Africa, Canada and United States during his life and travel all over Europe, the South Pacific and Australia. His parents settled in the Portland area in 1992. He graduated from Oregon State University in 2002, earning double degrees in Political Science and Psychology. After college, he graduated from the William and Mary School of Law. During college and law school, Nicholas worked as a news reporter, columnist and editor for his school's local newspapers.

Nicholas has been married for over four years. His wife is a practicing psychologist. When not working, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He is also an avid Texas Hold 'em player.

Nicholas' practice areas include family, juvenile, criminal law, probate and estate planning. He has a strong trial performance record and enjoys representing clients in litigation.

Tara joined the firm in June 2003 when Shelley was a solo practitioner. She started out as the receptionist / paralegal. She graduated to full time paralegal when the firm started to grow. She is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association legal staff section.

Tara is an Oregon native. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Elementary School in Roy and Valley Catholic High School in Beaverton. In 2000, she graduated from Eastern Oregon University in La Grande with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and minors in Spanish and International Studies. In 2002, she earned her Paralegal Certificate from Portland Community College.

Tara studied abroad in Ecuador in 1998/99. She is fluent in Spanish. She has traveled extensively including visits to Puerto Rico and Spain. In 2007 Tara and her husband Mark welcomed their first child, a girl. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, photography and any outdoor activity.

Tara and her family moved to Iowa in August 2008. However, with the wonder of technology and telecommuting, she continues to work for the firm. She is mainly assisting with personal injury cases but will assist in any capacity she's needed.

Jenni has been a member of the firm since March 2007, and handles both paralegal and receptionist duties as well as office administration. She enjoys attending continuing legal education seminars which keep her up to date on new and exciting changes in the field of law.

Jenni was raised in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge where she still travels often to visit family and friends. After high school she attended college in Bellingham, Washington, majoring in English and Women's Studies. Upon relocating to Portland she enrolled in the College of Legal Arts earning her Paralegal Certificate in March 2007, and has been featured in the College's most recent television commercials.

In her free time, Jenni loves spending time with her family, and playing with her young daughter. She has traveled through Europe including trips to England and France, and plans to visit again sometime in the near future.

Carolyn L. MarshallCarolyn L. Marshall, Paralegal

Carolyn joined our firm in October of 2009. She is a full time Paralegal to Shelley Fuller and Stephen Mathieu. She also is responsible for reception duties such as answering phones and setting up consultations.

Carolyn is an Oregon native. She attended East Gresham Grade School in Gresham as well as Alpha High School. Carolyn graduated 6 months early with her class in 2002. Carolyn graduated from Pioneer Pacific College in May of 2004 with her Associates of Applied Science in Legal Assistant/Paralegal Studies. She has experience with legal reception and legal services. She has worked with both small and large firms making her very dynamic in the legal field.

In her free time, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family, taking care of her two adorable nephews, taking road trips to the beach, riding horses and singing karaoke with her close friends. Carolyn is an avid country music listener and one day would like to have some land of her own in the country.
